About Us
We are the organization under the Colorado state party that works to elect Democrats within State Legislative House District 40. The map above shows where that district is located. It covers the eastern portion of Arapahoe County and all of Elbert county.
Parties have the following tiered structure:1) Party member
2) Precinct
3) State House District (can overlap with Counties)
4) County
5) US Legislative District (overlaps with House and County)
6) State
In addition to nominating candidates through the caucus procedure, we elect Precinct Committee Persons. During biennial restructuring, House District, US House and County officers are elected.
We have 37 precincts in Arapahoe County and 18 in Elbert County.
